On Thursday, January 30, at noon, in Gittis 213, please join the Penn Law Federalist Society in welcoming Judge Michael Brennan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for a conversation on the legacy of the Anti-Federalists. A graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law, Judge Brennan clerked for Chief Judge Robert Warren on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and for Judge Daniel Manion on the Seventh Circuit. Before being appointed to the Seventh Circuit, he served as an assistant district attorney in Milwaukee and as a judge on the Milwaukee County Circuit. Mexican food, with a kosher/vegetarian option, will be served.   ​

On Wednesday, January 29, at noon, in Gittis 214, please join the Penn Law Federalist Society in welcoming Nicholas Rosenkranz of Georgetown Law for a conversation on a new model of judicial review. A graduate of Yale Law, Professor Rosenkranz clerked for Judge Frank Easterbrook on the Seventh Circuit and for Justice Anthony Kennedy at the Supreme Court. He served as an Attorney-Advisor at the Office of Legal Counsel in the U.S. Department of Justice and often testifies before Congress as a constitutional expert. Joining Professor Rosenkranz for this discussion will be Robert Reinstein, a professor and former dean at Temple Law. Primo Hoagies, with a kosher/vegetarian option, will be served.

A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, Ms. Hilton is an author, law professor, and former FBI Special Agent. She will be discussing the Double Jeopardy Clause of the Fifth Amendment in the aftermath of Gamble v. United States. Joining her for this discussion will be Lauren Ouziel, a Temple Law professor and former federal prosecutor. Greek Lady, with a kosher/vegetarian option, will be served.

​This Thursday, January 16, please join us in Gittis 214 for a conversation with Ms. Kathryn Ciano, senior regulatory counsel for Uber, on the future of big tech regulation. Ms. Ciano has served as senior counsel for Uber for more than three years, dealing with many of the legal and regulatory issues the company has faced during that time. Joining Ms. Ciano will be Penn Law’s own Professor Elizabeth Pollman, an expert in regulation, startups, and the intersection of law and technology. Wishbone, along with a Kosher/vegetarian option, will be served.
