12:00PM - February 27, 2020 - Gittis 2 On Thursday, February 27, at noon, in Gittis 2, please join the Penn Law Federalist Society and the Quattrone Center in welcoming Shon Hopwood of Georgetown Law for a discussion on criminal justice reform. Professor Hopwood’s unusual legal journey began not at law school, but federal prison, where he learned to write briefs for prisoners while serving a 12-year sentence for bank robberies. After earning his law degree, he clerked for Judge Janice Brown at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and currently teaches Criminal Law and Procedure. Joining Professor Hopwood for this discussion will be Judge Stephanos Bibas of the Third Circuit. Chinese food, with a Kosher/vegetarian option, will be served.
