On Wednesday, March 13, at noon, please join the Penn Law Federalist Society in welcoming Ms. Cleta Mitchell for a discussion of the Supreme Court’s landmark campaign finance and free speech decision in Citizens United. Ms. Mitchell is a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Foley & Lardner. After receiving both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Oklahoma, Ms. Mitchell served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives for 8 years before entering private practice. She has served as legal counsel to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, the National Rifle Association, and a number of U.S. Senators. Joining Ms. Mitchell for this discussion will be David Skeel, the Penn Law Samuel Arsht Professor of Corporate Law. The event will take place in Gittis 213 and food from Mama’s Vegetarian will be served.
