President - Cole Wintheiser
Cole is a 2L, born and raised in the hometown of Marshall Erickson—St. Cloud, Minnesota. Cole received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he became an avid fan of college football, basketball, and hockey. Having spent his 1L summer interning for the Honorable Robert B. Kugler in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Camden, Cole will be traveling north to New York City to spend his 2L summer in the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Along with his involvement with the Federalist Society, Cole is an Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, a member of the Penn Law Mock Trial team, a participant in the Keedy Moot Court competition, and a research assistant with the National Constitution Center. Cole fills his free time by running, and is currently training for both the New York City and Boston Marathons.
Vice President of Internal Affairs - Jonathan Hoffman
Jonathan Hoffman is a 2L originally from Houston, Texas. He started at Penn Law following his graduation from Yeshiva University in 2017. In addition to his role as VP of Internal Affairs of Penn's Federalist Society, he is an Associate Editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
Vice President of External Affairs - Isabel Redleaf
Isabel is a 2L, hailing from the Arctic Tundra of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she lost all tolerance for the cold. As such, she’s heading to Dallas, TX next summer to further avoid any possibility of cold weather, and to work at Husch Blackwell. She spent her 1L summer in the Bay Area working for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In addition to her involvement with the Federalist Society, Isabel is research assistant for Professor Shyam Balganesh, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law, a Center for Technology, Innovation, and Competition Fellow, and a proud member of Penn Law Boxing. Isabel enjoys traveling, One Direction, and Quizzo.
Director of Programming - Ben Gilberg
Ben Gilberg is a rising 2L who was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. Ben attended Binghamton University, where he graduated with a double major in History and Political Science in May of 2018. While at Binghamton, Ben was a resident assistant, a tour guide, and an active member of student government. In addition to his involvement in the Federalist Society, Ben is on the Student Orientation Committee and is a part of the Penn Law Bowling League (Fall 2018 Champion). This summer, Ben will be interning for Judge Jerome B. Simandle of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. During his free time, Ben enjoys playing pick-up soccer and basketball, reading biographies, and watching Game of Thrones.
Director of Operations - Jonathan Sargent
Johnathan is a 2L student at Penn Law, born and raised in Flint, Michigan. A Penn lifer, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Political Science and History. Before law school he worked as a congressional staffer in Washington, D.C. He is always happy to talk about politics, policy, Michigan, and where to find the best hamburger.
Treasurer - Andrew Lief
Andrew is a 1L from New York City. After graduating from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Finance and Management Information Systems, Andrew spent three years crossing the country as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Aerospace & Defense sector. In his free time, Andrew enjoys swimming, listening to Radiolab, and reading this Twitter feed.
Director of Membership - Andrea Leelike
Andrea Leelike is a rising 2L who grew up sailing in the small Long Island town of Bellport, NY. She graduated from Boston University in 2016 with a B.S.B.A., concentrating in Business Law and minoring in Deaf studies. In addition to being the Director of Membership of the Federalist Society, she is the President of F.E.A.S.T. @ Penn Law, the Events Chair for the Public Speaking Society as well as a member of Penn Law Women’s Association, Penn Fight Night Committee, Penn Law Public Speaking, Environmental Law Project, Christian Legal Society, and First Generation Professional Students.
Director of Communications - Brandon Mayhew
Brandon completed his DipHE at the University of St Andrews, where he focused on international relations and economics, and then received his B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Washington and Lee University. Before entering law school, Brandon was a consultant in Booz Allen Hamilton’s defense and intelligence group in Washington, DC. He enjoys wine, American history, French, Spanish, architecture, engineering, and fishing.
Digital Director - Molly Nichols
Molly is a 1L who spent her formative years in Cherry Hill, NJ and later Dartmouth, MA before attending Trinity College where she graduated summa cum laude with Honors in Political Science. In addition to her role as the Digital Director of the Federalist Society, Molly serves as a Founding Board Member of the National Association for Law Students with Disabilities and is an active member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and Penn Law for Philly. She currently serves as a Research Assistant for Professor David Hoffman. This summer she will be interning for the Legal Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Molly enjoys studying Western Civilization and Ancient Greek Philosophy.
Director of Mentorship - Lavi Ben-Dor
Symposium Director - Jacob Abrahamson
Jacob is a Penn Law 2L originally from Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Louisville, where he served as Chair of the McConnell Scholars Program. In addition to his work with the Federalist Society, Jacob serves as an Associate Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and volunteers with the administrative law division of the Veterans Law Project. This summer he was an intern at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jacob enjoys watching baseball, listening to classic rock, and reading American history.
Director of External Alumni Outreach - Rachel Spivack
Rachel is a 1L from Brooklyn, New York. Her background is in history, research, and teaching. Rachel is interested in litigation and will spend her summer at the U.S. Attorney's office in Northern Florida. She enjoys amateur carpentry and the great outdoors.
Director of External Outreach - Michael White
Michael White is a 1L born and raised in Staten Island, New York, and he attended Boston College where he double majored in Classics and Philosophy. Before attending law school, he taught English for four years at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School. This summer, he will be working as a summer associate at Dwight Capital LLC in New York City in addition to his role as a research assistant for Professor David Hoffman. Outside of the Federalist Society, he is a volunteer for the Interscholastic Moot Court Project and is a member of the Tennis Club. In his free time, he enjoys watching and discussing sports and playing chess.
Director of Academic Affairs - Jacob Marsh
Director of Community Service - Taylor Hertzler
Taylor Hertzler was born and raised in Elverson, PA. Although the English and Music degrees he earned from Westminster College in 2018 might be otherwise useless, they were enough to earn him a spot in Penn Law's 1L class that same year. To balance out the intense hours of reading and writing for law school, he spends his leisure time also reading and writing or else watching Jordan Peterson lectures. In addition to his Federalist Society involvement, Taylor is a member of the Christian Legal Society. He will spend his 1L summer interning on the Third Circuit for Judge Stephanos Bibas.
